- In-app interactions

- Approximate location (city/region)
- Used for localised news only
- No precise GPS unless you allow it
- Session cookies
- Analytics tracking tools
- Applies to web or hybrid access
What your data actually does.
Every piece of data we collect has a specific job. Here's what we do with it.

- Deliver your AM & PM brief notifications at the right time
- Improve app performance, speed, and user experience
- Analyse aggregate user behaviour to make editorial decisions

How our algorithms work.
AMPM uses algorithmic systems — including our in-house AI engine, Meridian — to recommend content, rank news stories, and generate summaries. These systems are trained on editorial principles, not engagement maximisation.
We believe in transparency around AI. Where AI is used to generate or summarise content, it will be labelled as such in the app.
Important: Our personalisation algorithms are designed to inform, not to trap. We do not optimise for time-on-app. We optimise for comprehension and completeness — so you can get informed and move on.
